KAMPALA BOMBINGS - TEAM IS NOT AT RISK 07/12/2010
Just want to make sure everyone is at ease that the bombings in Kampala have in no way put the Grandview team at risk. We are about three hours from where this tragedy occurred and will be heading to a fairly remote location for our debrief for the next two days, so will be well away from any concentration of people for the next while. We do go through Kampala to get to the airport but will not be spending any more time there than is absolutely necessary. Thanks for your concern and prayers. Right now the team is not aware of this news (the bombings occurred late last evening and we have little contact with what’s going on beyond our immediate location), but I am confident they will take it in stride as they have all of the other challenges we’ve faced.
